CELEBRITY Ariana grande
Piers Morgan has been getting the finger exercise of his life these past 24 hours, rebutting everyone on Twitter that has a problem with his comments about female sexuality. To be fair, he started it.
The 'Good Morning Britain' presenter decided to criticize girl group Little Mix for ripping off the idea to pose naked with words like "ugly," "fat," "talentless," and "irrelevant" across their bodies from the Dixie Chicks' 2003 Entertainment Weekly magazine cover. Pitting women against women was just his warm-up.
Hey @LittleMix - when are you going to admit you stole this idea from @dixiechicks? pic.twitter.com/dLRX2TMv2k

Ariana Grande's mother, Joan, responded and asked if his mother ever taught him "if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it." She also criticized him for calling Ellen DeGeneres out on "drooling today over famous men's bodies," which he believes represents the "hypocrisy of modern feminism" because he got in trouble when he complimented Holly Willoughby on her legs.
Honestly what is wrong with you @piersmorgan ? Didn’t your mother ever teach you, if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it! You came for @TheEllenShow yesterday which was disgraceful, she is an angel. @LittleMix today, did you ever hear of paying homage? And..well never mind https://t.co/5WBOlL8t6O

Morgan replied, "Hi Joan, my mother taught me to speak my mind & never be afraid to express honestly held opinion. Ellen's a hypocrite - and as for Little Mix, I'd just prefer they use their talent to sell records rather than their nudity. As your own daughter does...!"

Ellen's a hypocrite - and as for Little Mix, I'd just prefer they use their talent to sell records rather than their nudity.
As your own daughter does...! https://t.co/nCQAsIgoVG
Little did he know, flattery would not get him anywhere.
Ariana Grande herself chimed in to support Little Mix and clarify, "I use my talent AND my sexuality all the time because I choose to. women can be sexual AND talented. naked and dignified. it’s OUR choice. & we will keep fighting til people understand. I say this [with] all due respect but thank u, next."
Ellen is an incredible & kind human being.. I use my talent AND my sexuality all the time because i choose to. women can be sexual AND talented. naked and dignified. it’s OUR choice. ???? & we will keep fighting til people understand. i say this w all due respect but thank u, next. https://t.co/wSknRSlJN8

Morgan, in a strange letter format, replied to Grande, "Of course, women can do what they like - but if they/you use nudity to sell records to impressionable young female fans, I'll continue to call them/you out on it. All due respect, but thank YOU. Next..."
Hi Ariana!
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) November 21, 2018
How lovely to hear from you so soon after your mother.
Of course, women can do what they like - but if they/you use nudity to sell records to impressionable young female fans, I'll continue to call them/you out on it.
All due respect, but thank YOU. Next... https://t.co/PpRK5Wqs92
In later tweets, Grande encouraged the British girl group to “keep fighting the fight” while also throwing some clap backs in Morgan's direction. "I look forward to the day you realize there are other ways to go about making yourself relevant than to criticize young, beautiful, successful women for everything they do," she said, adding that it would be good for him and his career, "or what’s left of it."
also @piersmorgan, i look forward to the day you realize there are other ways to go about making yourself relevant than to criticize young, beautiful, successful women for everything they do. i think that’ll be a beautiful thing for you and your career or what’s left of it. ????

On the point of using sexuality, Grande shared a tweet from Morgan which included a photo from an old ad of his, lying naked in front of a fireplace. She asked, “when [you] do it it’s ok [though] right?”
when u do it it’s ok tho right? https://t.co/FJyF24ZlYx

Decidedly missing the point, Morgan proceeded to ask her if that was her screensaver, and the pop singer replied, "nah and it ain’t [your] girls’ either I can promise u that."
nah and it ain’t ur girls’ either i can promise u that

While Morgan maintains that many people agree with him, the point many others are trying to drive is that women's sexuality is their own, and after being exploited by men, they don't need men to tell them when they can't use it either.
Morgan went after Kim Kardashian, Emily Ratajkowski, and Chrissy Teigen as well, leaving no modern feminist unturned.
Very disappointed @KimKardashian @emrata & @chrissyteigen haven't (so far..) raced to defend @LittleMix & @ArianaGrande over their 'nudity is the only way to succeed' campaign. Come on ladies!

Regardless of how valid (or not) you believe his statements on women's bodies to be, Piers Morgan is definitely good at one thing: ticking people off. If you're hungry for more, he's still fielding replies!
