There is a new way to type on a tablet, and it is keyboardless. This wearable device that looks like high-tech brass knuckles will turn your hands into a keyboard and mouse.

The device is called the Tap Strap, and it can connect to devices such as smartphones, tablets, VR headsets, and smartwatches using Bluetooth. By assigning sets of characters to certain text combinations, the handset is equipped with sensors that record every tap you make and turns them into certain words.

Though mastering how to type with this device will take users around five hours, once you have it down, the computer process will be entirely revolutionized.

"I hope Tap Strap is great, because I want to spend more time with heads-up displays and smartwatches, and less time thumb typing on my iPhone or doing two-handed QWERTY work on my laptop," The Verge reported. "Right now the device is in a 'beta' of sorts, and will be made available to developers and other manufacturers to see what they can cook up with the new technology."
