The up-and-coming rapper, Yung Bans, has created a career around his unique taste and individual flair. Born in St. Louis but raised in Atlanta, Bans is only 18 years old, but already has seasoned advice on how to make it in the industry.

“People call you weird when you do it first, and then they run up behind you and do it,” Bans told Hype Beast.

Bans got his first break when he was 13 years old. He was approached at a skate park because he looked like the type of kid that knew how to rap. Instead of running from the challenge, he went home that night and wrote two songs. Since then, Bans has since rapped with the likes of Lil Yachty, André 3000, Yung Lean, and Lil Tracy. His next album, 'Yung Bans, Vol. 4,' is currently in the works.

“Music isn’t all about lyrics; it’s the sounds. I don’t know how to describe it; I’m just doing me, I’m just living it,” Bans said.
