Lana Del Rey has shared an important update regarding her legal battle with Radiohead. The ‘Young and Beautiful’ gave an update regarding Radiohead’s disputed lawsuit over publishing claims at Lollapalooza Brasil over the weekend. As reported by Pitchfork, Del Rey said “now that my lawsuit’s over, I guess I can sing that song any time I want, right?”.
The song in question is ‘Get Free’ from Del Rey’s 2017 album ‘Lust for Life’. The singer claimed on Twitter that Radiohead were suing her for the publishing rights. She claimed that Radiohead were pursuing legal action because of uncredited similarities between their song ‘Creep’ and ‘Get Free’. “I know my song wasn’t inspired by Creep, Radiohead feel it was”, she tweeted. However, Radiohead’s publishers, Warner/Chappell, denied that any lawsuit had been filed.
