Turns out Kanye West is not a fan of the phone.

Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker only realized he was a guest on West's brand new album 'YE' after he watched the live stream of the album, revealed during a listening event last night. NME reports that Parker was not invited to the Wyoming event and only found out by hearing the beats in question during the live unveiling.

Speaking to Linda Marigliano from Australian radio station triple j, Parker explained “That’s such weird timing! I had this weird premonition of this exact scenario.” Parker said that West had invited him to send him any beats he was working on. In response to the request, he sent over a production which contained a sample of ‘You Keep Me Hangin’ On’ by 1960s psych-rockers Vanilla Fudge.

However, having not received any response from West, Parker assumed he hadn't made the final cut and moved on with his life. When no invite to Wyoming materialized he told triple j that "it didn't bode well."

Instead, his samples can be heard on the second-to-last track on ‘YE.’ It features Kid Cudi rapping over a frenzied guitar line, which reportedly “used bits” of Parker’s original effort.

Not knowing about the collaboration makes perfect sense, given Tame Impala's track called 'The Less I Know The Better.'

One assumes that Parker will be getting a big check from team West sometime soon.
