Kanye West's latest release, 'Ye,' has already hit over 100 million streams online. West drummed up plenty of attention for the seven-song album at a release event in Wyoming—and the numbers prove it.

According to reports from TMZ, 'Ye' is currently at the top of the list on multiple music platforms: it's the number one iTunes Album in 63 countries, in Spotify's global peak position, and number one on Apple Music in 83 countries.

The eighth album in the rapper's discography, 'Ye' covers topics including politics, pop culture, freedom of expression, and mental health. While the rapper's public antics have recently received criticism, the massive success of the album suggests that perhaps that is just what the people want.

Meaghan Garvey's review at Pitchfork argues, “If West has successfully pulled off anything this album cycle, it is managing expectations with all the shameless savvy of his in-laws, the Kardashians. Of course, Kanye West was never really going to get canceled. West knows better than anyone that a few decent beats to remind people of The Old Kanye are usually enough to replenish one’s goodwill, bleak as it may be."

Kanye West took to Twitter to share the links to 'Ye' on June 1.
