Are you in need of a relaxing getaway? Maybe a destination wedding? Finland just opened the first 'Game Of Thrones'-themed ice hotel, and it's perfect for TV addicts everywhere.
Lapland Hotels and the producers of the show came together to create the medieval fantasy version of a luxury hotel, complete with a themed bar, a spooky Braavosi Hall of Faces, an ice movie theater, a dragon-shaped ice slide, and a wedding chapel.
The operations manager, Janne Pasma, told the Finnish national broadcasters, YLE, that after being a longtime fan of the show, building the hotel was "a dream come true," and that he was thankful for HBO Nordic supporting the project, according to VOA.
Located in the icy village of Kittila, Finland, the grounds will cover 24,000 sq yd, and is situated 93 mi above the Arctic Circle. They recommend guests only stay one night in the icy igloo due to the below-zero freezing temperatures. So, if you are seeking an adventure full of fantasy and possible frostbite, this 'Game of Thrones'-themed hotel will be your home away from home.
