The newly released AMC series, 'Dietland,' is the perfect blend of social satire and murder mystery thriller. The series is based on the novel of the same name by Sarai Walker.

The show follows the ghostwriter for the editor of a prominent women's magazine. A look at the fashion and beauty industry's obsession with weight loss and appearances, 'Dietland' is serving the inside look everyone needed. Joy Nash stars as Plum Kettle, the self-conscious hero who breaks through antiquated barriers to find herself and serve social justice along the way.
