Jennifer Garner responds to her viral GIF
The actress explains what her mid-applause epiphany was about

Following the Academy Awards, the internet was flushed with new viral content to obsess over. One clip that went viral was of Jennifer Garner looking like she had an existential crisis in the middle of applauding for one of the awards.
Internet users everywhere were sharing the GIF and making comments as to what she may have been thinking about. While people had some hilarious suggestions, Garner herself took to her Instagram story to share a few voice-overs of what she may have been thinking about.
"Congrats to ‘Shape of Water,'" Garner said in the first GIF. "Maybe I should date a fish?"
In the next clip, she referenced her sponsorship with Capital One. "Hey Jimmy Kimmel, what’s in your wallet? Wait — where’s my wallet?"
In the last voice-over, she does a nod to her upcoming HBO series that is written by Lena Dunham, who is known for being candid about nudity and sex. "Can’t wait to work with Lena Dunham," Garner said. "Wait, did I sign a nudity waiver?"
Garner's responses prove that everything is more fun when you can take the time to laugh at yourself.
