When Charlize Theron went on Jimmy Kimmel's talk show to promote her film 'Gringo,' she ended up discussing much more than her acting. The film centers on Theron's character running a medical marijuana company, so Kimmel asked if she had ever dabbled with the substance in real life. 

Theron explained how she and her mother both suffer from insomnia and discussed using cannabis to help them go to sleep. Then one day, her mother decided to go ahead and get her some. "Last week she showed up at my house, literally like dove in in her little tennis outfit and brought me a little container and just left it on my kitchen table," Theron said. "She was like 'so I got some blueberry chocolate covered ones, but if you want it faster acting, you should go for the mint."

Theron reported to Kimmel that her mother got just the right edibles to help her sleeping troubles. "It totally works. It's amazing," she said.
