'Stranger Things' actor Charlie Heaton has discussed his recent drug charges. Heaton, who plays Jonathan in the show, was detained at LAX airport. Traces of cocaine were found in his luggage, leading him to be denied entry into America. The British actor missed the premiere of 'Stranger Things' series 2. Heaton released a statement addressing the charges. "I’m sorry to all the fans and my 'Stranger Things' family for missing the premiere," Heaton wrote according to NME, "we are all so proud of this season and I would never want this story to negatively impact the show."

Now, Heaton has opened up in an interview with Flaunt Magazine. The actor said the entire experience "was hard" and “f****** awful." Heaton explained that "everything happened so fast, and I hadn’t come to terms with the fact that I was famous." The star claimed "it [got] really blown out of proportion." Journalists even ventured to Heaton’s family house in Yorkshire, England, which the actor described as "upsetting."
