At a pre-Oscar's brunch hosted by Emily's List, Chelsea Handler took to the stage to open up a dialogue surrounding the empowerment of women. The panel brought together women of influence, from former senator Barbara Boxer to female activists and social influencers.

Emily's List is an organization that recruits and supports female politicians who are running for government positions.

"We have to remind ourselves that we've had so many victories," Handler said. According to the organization's website, more than 34,000 women have contacted Emily's List to train for political work since the 2016 election.

Actor and activist, Amber Tamblyn, weighed in saying, "I've said before, and I think this is really true. Women are angry and organized. We're angranized. We're like a good combination of those two things."

By bringing together women who have the tools to succeed and those who have the voice to share the message, this panel of female activists made noise at the Academy Awards.
