You may want to look at the latest issue of GQ a little closer. Dubbed the comedy issue, the team at Gentleman's Quarterly took the chance to poke fun at one of their rivals, Vanity Fair.

Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, and Sarah Silverman all star in the parody cover, where there appear to be extra limbs Photoshopped around the comics. This references Vanity Fair's 2018 Hollywood Issue Photoshop fail, where it looked like Reese Witherspoon had three legs and Oprah Winfrey had an extra hand.

While all's fair in love and publication, Page Six reported that the Vanity Fair team wasn't exactly laughing off the joke. “There is mass fury at VF today, the staff and editors are really upset," sources at Condé Nast said. “Jim Nelson, the editor-in-chief at GQ, never told Vanity Fair editor-in-chief Radhika Jones, or anyone else at VF, that he was planning this. They are being mocked by a sister publication, nobody told them in advance, and they found out about it at the same time as everyone else, when the GQ cover was released,” the source explained, according to Page Six.

The editor's letter inside the GQ issue is titled, “Mistakes were made.” Audiences of the two publications are looking forward to seeing how Vanity Fair claps back in print.
