Actor Morgan Freeman has been accused of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior by eight women in the entertainment industry, according to CNN.
People who worked with the Academy Award-winning actor on film sets or during press tours allege that Freeman would harass women, try and lift their skirts, make suggestive comments, and touch people inappropriately.
"He would be verbally inappropriate and it was just shocking," a former employee told CNN. Eight women have come forward saying they were sexually harassed, and eight other people have said they witnessed Freeman's alleged misconduct.
The victims worked on various film sets with Freeman over a range of years, all stating they did not come forward sooner due to fear of putting their careers in jeopardy. "He did comment on our bodies... We knew that if he was coming by ... not to wear any top that would show our breasts, not to wear anything that would show our bottoms, meaning not wearing clothes that [were] fitted," an alleged victim told CNN.
At 80 years old, Freeman is one of the biggest names in Hollywood. Known for his roles in 'Million Dollar Baby,' 'Shawshank Redemption,' 'Driving Miss Daisy,' and many others. These allegations come as the #MeToo and Time's Up movements have unveiled the widespread abuse throughout the entertainment industry.
