Behind every rock star is a mother who raised them to rock. Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl is working with his mother, Virginia Hanlon Grohl, to create a documentary series titled, 'From the Cradle to the Stage: Stories from the Mothers Who Rocked and Raised Rock Stars.'
The series will be based on Virginia's book of the same name, which was published last year. The hit book featured interviews with the mothers of famed stars such as Mike D from the Beastie Boys, R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe, Pharrell Williams, Tom Morello, and many more.
Speaking about the forthcoming film adaptation, Virginia Grohl said, “I’m excited to introduce the viewing public to the strong, loving women who have supported the insistent dreams of their musical sons and daughters," according to NME.
Virginia revealed that in the series, “Viewers will join all the mothers around a table when they meet for the first time at a celebratory dinner where secrets and stories will be shared and compared.”
It's true what they say—moms know best. No official dates or networks have been released for the series.
