This Sunday, Sterling K. Brown will take the podium at Stanford University to deliver a commencement address. The 'This is Us' actor took to Twitter to share that he had just finished writing his highly anticipated speech.
Brown shared a Stanford-related GIF, and wrote, "I just finished writing my commencement address for my alma mater @Stanford It took a minute, it may need some refining, but the bows are there! #ThankYouJesus #TakingMyA**ToBed See you Sunday!"
Brown made entertainment history this year by becoming the first African-American actor to win both the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award and a Golden Globe for his role in the dramatic TV series.
“Sterling K. Brown is an eloquent role model for an entire generation, inspiring us with moving performances that not only bring life to each character, but also impart to the world a deeper understanding of our society,” Stanford President Marc Tessier-Lavigne said in a press release. “I am so pleased that Sterling will be coming back to Stanford this June to further inspire all of our graduates at Commencement.”
Brown will deliver the commencement address at Stanford University on Sunday, June 17.
