The continuing twists and turns of the bitter Jolie/Pitt divorce shows no signs of abating, with Angelina Jolie now accusing Brad Pitt of not paying any 'meaningful' child support since the couple's separation, according to NBC News.
“[Pitt] has a duty to pay child support. As of present, [Pitt] has paid no meaningful child support since separation,” wrote Jolie’s new lawyer, Samantha Bley DeJean, in a brief reportedly filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and obtained by NBC News.
“Given the informal arrangements around the payment of the children’s expenses have not been regularly sustained by [Pitt] for over a year and a half, [Jolie] intends to file an RFO for the establishment of a retroactive child support order.” NBC News reported that the court documents didn’t define what “meaningful” support comprises.
The grueling divorce has been fueled by bitter rumors of Angelina Jolie being venomous to the point where her divorce lawyer was close to quitting, however, this was refuted by a spokesperson.
The divorce is said to be lingering on due to an impasse regarding child custody. Since no party is ready to agree on a child sharing arrangement, this divorce battle could outlive us all.
