After a fresh wave of controversy following his latest televised rant, Kanye West has deleted both his Instagram and Twitter accounts without any warning.
He went offline on October 6, one week following his appearance on 'Saturday Night Live' where he wore a "Make America Great Again" hat, voiced his support for Donald Trump, pledged to run for president in 2020, and said so said, "So many times I talk to a white person and [they] say, ‘How could you like Trump, he’s racist?’ Well, if I was concerned about racism, I would have moved out of America a long time ago.”
West was also scheduled to release his latest album 'Yhandi' following his appearance, but his wife Kim Kardashian announced that it's been pushed to November, and that "it is worth the wait."

This isn't the first time West has deleted his social media—he was off for almost a full year from May 2017 to April 2018, but it seems he can only go to two extremes: causing tsunami-scale waves or vanishing into thin air.
