It's weirdly... nice?

CELEBRITY Macaulay Culkin
Macaulay Culkin first warmed our hearts during the most wonderful time of the year, this way back in 1990 when he was better known as Kevin McCallister. He continued to star in a few films afterwards, but mostly made headlines for other reasons like suing his parents, getting in trouble with the law, dating Mila Kunis, and that weird time in 2013 when he appeared on the Internet eating a slice of pizza for four and a half minutes in complete silence.
But it seems he's put that all behind him and is ready to embrace Hollywood again. Well, sort of. Just in time for Christmas, 28 years after the release of 'Home Alone,' Culkin has teamed up with Google for the most legendary holiday advert to ever grace your screens.
The 38-year-old actor is back in that famous and enormous house, and he's recreating all of those beloved scenes of shaving, jumping on beds, eating a huge ice cream sundae, ordering pizza, and scaring off burglars with his clever tricks. Only this time, he's using his Google assistant to add aftershave to his shopping list, to remind him to wash his sheets, to pay for pizza online, and to essentially erase the whole purpose of the film.
Culkin shared the video on Twitter and wrote, "Have you ever wondered what Kevin McCallister is like as an adult? Me neither. But just in case you’re curious you should totally watch this #ad."
While, indeed, no one was really dying to know how a grown-up Kevin McCallister was faring in the new world of technology, it does feel reassuring to know that Culkin is doing well.
If you want to see more of him, he also appears on a YouTube series called Best of the Worst by Red Letter Media. He reviews 'Home Alone 4,' which features an entirely new cast. It's surreal, but hilarious.
