The most-recent show at Milan Fashion Week features some playful plagiarism. Italian fashion house Fendi tapped Instagram artist Hey Reilly for a cutting edge collection. The Autumn/Winter 2018 show featured models wearing Fendi styled like the logo for sportswear brand Fila. Models including Kaia Gerber and Loane Normand hit the catwalk in cowboy boots and sweaters with the “Fendi-Fila” logo.
Karl Lagerfeld was the creative director, and the show had some big names on the stage. British it girl Adwoa Aboah hit the catwalk in a velvet cape, while rising star Kris Grikaite rocked the crowd wearing designer sunglasses. The Scottish artist Hey Reilly also released a statement. “I would like to thank Karl his team and everyone at @fendi for their generosity of spirit, sense of humour and sheer panache” he wrote on Instagram.
