Kaizo Salon N Spa in Mumbai, India is starting a new haircut trend: fire cuts. By applying a chemical hair product before setting hair ablaze, the customers head remains safe and leaves with a sleek cut.
According to Metro UK, the founder of the fad, Meet Gala, was looking for a way to add some creativity to men's barbering. While experimenting with different hair ideas and products, he got a burst of inspiration. With the help of his father, who is a chemical engineer, he developed a chemical solution that works with fire to cut hair, without burning.
First, the stylist sprays the hair with a perfumed product to prevent the burnt hair smell. Then he combs through the head of fire. Apparently, the flaming haircut does more than just make the salon standout. The cut is said to have real benefits for the hair, as it removes weak locks and ends, according to Metro UK.
