As Coachella music festival goers get trampled in mosh pits and car camp under the hot desert sun, just down the road is a different set of weekend warriors—those at Dusk Till Dawn, a wellness festival in Indio, CA.
The first weekend of this alternative festival experience took place April 13-15 and drew in large crowds, similar to Coachella. The daytime activities featured yoga classes, sound baths, and meditation, as well as an abundance of “spiritual healers, astrologers, psychic mediums,” according to the website. The nighttime activities included a “fully immersive party scene” of DJ sets and live music. This festival is marketed towards the wellness guru and party animal in everyone.
According to Quartzy, the main demographic of the crowd is those in their 20s to 40s who have, “aged out of Coachella but are still looking for a fun, festive experience that is much more balanced and aligns with where they are in their lives now.”
Dusk Till Dawn will be having its second weekend of wellness raving on April 20-22.
