What college grads are doing wrong in interviews

Job interviews can be stressful, but when it is time to suit up and shake hands, there are a few do's and don'ts that everyone—especially recent college graduates—should know.
According to a recent survey from CareerBuilder, the class of 2018 may have all of the course credits to be in the real world, but they are lacking some serious etiquette. After interviewing 1,012 hiring managers, the job search engine found that recent college graduates have exhibited these top job interview mistakes:
- Didn’t send a thank you note: 37%
- Didn’t know anything about the company: 35%
- Didn’t submit a cover letter: 31%
- Didn’t ask any questions in the interview: 29%
- Didn’t have professional references: 26%
- Had poor grammar on their résumé: 26%
- Had unprofessional pictures on their social media profiles: 21%
- Checked their mobile phone during the interview: 19%
