In more data breach news, 14 million Facebook users will be notified that their private posts were made public due to a glitch in the social media's system.

Komo News reports that the software bug in question affected posts that were published between May 18 and 22. The glitch reportedly affected Facebook's “audience selector” tool, which determines who gets to see your posts. This internal error took place while the company was testing a new feature within the system. Since discovering the glitch, Facebook has gone through and switched back all posts that were accidentally made public to private again.

“We have fixed this issue and starting today we are letting everyone affected know and asking them to review any posts they made during that time,” Erin Egan, Facebook’s chief privacy officer, said in a statement. “We’d like to apologize for this mistake.”

Users whose content was involved will receive a notification on their Facebook page alerting them to the error.
