The film 'Call Me By Your Name' includes themes of acceptance and understanding sexuality. Actor Armie Hammer discusses how helping convey these powerful messages has impacted him.

"One person saw it, and I think tweeted it, they saw the movie and said that they went home and came out to their parents," Hammer told NowThis. "I mean, it's naive to think that anything's going to change the world, much less a movie's going to change the world, but it changed that person's world."

The film is about a passionate summer romance between two young men that changes their lives forever. The response to the sexually freeing film has been overwhelmingly positive.

"To get to be a part of something like that is really an honor and rewarding, and kind of, I think the thing they told all of us when we were young in acting class that this is ideally what movies can do," Hammer said.



The movie was released on January 19, so check it out in a theater near you.
