In order to get a true taste of America's Southern states, you need to visit a classic diner. Not sure if it is the flowing maple syrup, sizzling burgers, or the old-fashioned jukebox, but once you sit down at one of these top diners, you will surely feel right at home. 1. Big Bad Breakfast, MS
Make sure to bring your appetite when you visit this Oxford staple. Known for loading your morning meal up with all the breakfast favorites, this Mississippi location can't be missed.
2. The Beacon Drive-In, SC
This classic diner is famous for its traditional style and spectacular service. Be sure to order a large glass of iced tea, as they sell more of it than any other restaurant in the US.
3. OK Café, GA
The secret recipes at this Atlanta-based treasure have been kept in the family for over 30 years. OK Café serves up three meals a day, and taking a trip to this beloved location is a must.
4. Bogue’s, AL
Operating since 1938, this classic diner is a Birmingham staple. In 2012, there was actually a petition from the old landlords to take down the establishment, but due to popular demand, public outcry, and petitions, Bogue’s lives on.
