"No matter how your feelings show up, they're real. Panic attacks are not something you need to hide," Angel Asher, the star of the Disney show 'Andi Mack,' told viewers.
His character on the show, Jonah, suffered from a panic attack on the show. He uses this as an example in the PSA, to show that these things can happen to people and it is nothing to be ashamed of. He also tells the audience the appropriate way to treat and handle a panic attack if it arises.
The most important things to know is that help is out there," Asher said.
Anxiety can come out of nowhere and happen to anyone. For some, an attack can be triggered, like what happened to Jonah in the show. This PSA is a way to normalize the effects of anxiety and make young people feel safe if they ever find themselves in a similar situation.
