TV The Americans
Elizabeth and Philip Jennings live in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. with their two children, Paige and Henry, who happen to have no idea of their parent's true identities. Set in the 1980s, the series has impeccably accurate set design and costume selection, bringing back all the nostalgia.
While the surface level plot of 'The Americans' is pretty straightforward, underneath the spy lingo and geopolitics, it is a tragic love story. As Elizabeth and Philip are coworkers pretending to be parents, their familial isolation grows deeper and more apparent throughout their missions. Though they are incredible spies bound by duty, their marriage unravels as the show goes on.
The series gives an in-depth perspective into a failing marriage. Audiences look forward to seeing how the final season of 'The Americans' plays out, beginning March 28 on FX.
