Andy Samberg's comedy cop show ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ has made headlines recently for being abruptly canceled by Fox and then saved by NBC. Now that the sixth season of the series is in the works, Samberg already has a star-studded guest list planned.
“We’ve had such a nice upswelling of support after the show was canceled,” Samberg said at the NBCUniversal Upfront presentation according to Page Six. “A lot of people went to bat for us like Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mark Hamill, Sean Astin. We’re thinking all of them probably are owed guest spots.” All of the celebrities mentioned took to social media to show their support for the series. "So I would expect all of them to be on the show,” Samberg said.
Lin-Manuel Miranda was arguably one of the most active via Twitter to fight for the #Renew99 cause. Following the news of the NBC deal, the actor and musician even tweeted photos with the cast of the show.
