TV It’s always sunny in philadelphia

As 'It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia' has officially been renewed for two more seasons, the epic comedy sitcom is well on its way to breaking TV records.

Everyone's favorite bar owners—Charlie (Charlie Day), Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Mac (Rob McElhenney), Dee (Kaitlin Olsen), and Frank (Danny DeVito)—have been delivering crude, brilliant humor since 2005. With no signs of stopping, the 'It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia' cast is aiming to become longest live-action comedy series in history.

“You definitely get Season 13, which we’re making right now, and Season 14, which we’re contracted to do, and then beyond that, it’ll be up to FX,” Charlie Day told TheWrap. “But I think 15 is the record for a comedy, so I imagine we’ll all want to hold the record for the longest-running comedy in America. Fifteen would be the record for the longest live-action comedy, so we’ll probably try and break that record if we can.”

'It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia' fans were shocked by the recent season 12 finale, which saw Dennis leave the show. This came at a time when Howerton began his role in comedy series 'AP Bio,' but, according to NME, audiences can expect an epic return from the staple character.
