TV The Bachelorette

Meredith Phillips, who was a contestant on 'The Bachelorette' during the show's second season, claims she was drugged and sexually assaulted by a female crew member. Phillips claims that in 2003, an on-set masseuse roofied her when she asked for aspirin, according to claims she made on the podcast Reality Steve.

"The last thing I remember was she got naked and she was in the tub with me, and rubbing my back and rubbing areas she probably shouldn't have. And then I was put in bed. I woke up naked. Don't remember much," Phillips said.

Phillips explained that after this incident she considered leaving the show, but ended up staying to complete the season. ABC and the show executives declined to comment on the accusations.

This news comes after the series had already received overwhelming backlash from the controversial and revealing book 'Bachelor Nation,' by Amy Kaufman.
