Some of America's most prominent news sources came under fire during the 2016 election. With a public that is so divided not even information could bridge the gap, journalism became a business of picking sides. A new docuseries titled 'The Fourth Estate' will delve into the 2016 election and how the New York Times depicted President Donald Trump, and vice versa.
“We have a left that doesn’t want to hear what the other side has to say, and we have a right that feels the same way,” Editor Dean Baquet said in the trailer for the series.
Chronicling a year in the life of the biggest news source in America, 'The Fourth Estate' will show how trust, politics, motive, and opinion can change in an instant—and how the headlines reflect that.
'The Fourth Estate' premiered on Showtime on May 27. You can watch the trailer on YouTube here.
